ST Signature Tanjong Pagar

The location is a 10/10, and I’d recommend this for budget travel. Everything felt new and very clean, the bed was comfy, and the AC worked perfectly. The toilets and showers were spotless too. I was glad to book a room without a window, since there’s construction and restaurant noise on the street. Sound between rooms was reasonably blocked, though the hallway noise came through. People stopped walking around midnight, and it stayed quiet until late morning. Reception isn’t staffed around the clock, so you may need to check in using the app. The instructions were clear, and the room key is there as well.

The location near China Town was superb, and I’d come back if I need affordable, easy accommodation nearby. The rooms are tiny, really suited to one person or a couple with one suitcase. For a co-living place, I was impressed by how clean the room, bathroom and kitchen area were. Good value for what it is.

The room and public areas were immaculate, and the location was good. Still, the place felt like living in Hongkong housing, just a little less compact. Service was prompt but not warm or welcoming, with no smiles. I wouldn’t usually mind that at a 3-star hotel, but I wouldn’t return.

I spent four nights here. The room itself was comfortable, with nice furniture, good air-conditioning, a decent single bed with two pillows, and a handy desk for work. Getting between the room and shower area wasn’t very convenient. I’d also requested housekeeping, but it wasn’t done. I only got fresh towels after following up with reception. Comfortable overall, though the layout and consistency of service could be better.
