The Snooze Hotel Marine Parade

This was my second stay at the snooze hotel. I had just returned from India and wanted to rest near my husband's workplace. Ms. Adeline at reception was amazing, so helpful and welcoming. She explained everything clearly and made me feel comfortable. After a long day, her wonderful service really made my day better. The owners should give her an award for being the best receptionist. Well done, snooze hotel, for having someone with so much character at the front desk.

The good points were the water pressure, TV channel selection, and a location about a 15-minute walk from the MRT. The checkout staff member was friendly. Still, I wouldn't recommend staying here. Pay a little more for a budget hotel you can trust. I booked a superior room for one night with my kid. On the night of Feb 19, the staff member on duty tried to put us in a standard room with no proper window. When I went down to ask about the downgrade, she didn't apologize. She said rooms had different layouts, then claimed the tiny window in the toilet, barely an arm's length, was the window. The listing photo showed a floor-length window. Standard rooms without windows have a different rate from superior rooms, and customers aren't stupid. Still no apology. She then said that to get the same layout, I had to go across the street to their other hotel. We went in the rain. The door there was partly broken and hard to use, and there was no hairdryer even though the room listing said one was included. When I called reception, she told me I had to reserve one beforehand, something she hadn't mentioned at check-in. I had a kid with me and had to cross the road in the rain to borrow it. At reception I showed the staff the listing. If it says a hairdryer is included, guests will expect one unless they're told they need to borrow it. Instead of showing empathy or apologizing, the woman kept making up reasons, even after I explained the rain and that I had my kid with me. SPEECHLESS! I understand this is a no-frills budget hotel, but they need to be honest.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, with hot, high-pressure water in the shower. The nearest MRT station is a five-minute walk away, and there's a bus stop opposite. I checked in on 3rd March, and Ms Angeline on reception was truly an angel. She made check-in easy and suggested some places to relax and unwind.

Aishwarya made my arrival feel so welcoming, greeting me with a bright smile and being patient, kind, and attentive to every detail. She answered all my questions clearly and confidently. Her professionalism and warm personality made the stay much smoother and more pleasant. Thanks, Aishwarya, for such excellent service. You really made a difference.
