Niya and the rest of the team at Daulat Hotel made my stay comfortable and stress-free. They were easy to approach, answered questions and requests promptly, and handled everything with patience and professionalism. Their friendly, attentive service made me feel welcome from check-in right through to check-out. It was clear the staff take pride in looking after guests, and their efforts really showed. Thanks to Niya and team for the hard work and warm hospitality. I had a pleasant stay and would definitely come back.

The room was in very poor shape: the floor was so dusty our socks turned black, the toilet smelled, the tap was broken, the sheet was torn and furry, and there wasn't even a hair dryer. The photos show an iron and ironing board, but only the board was there. We got back late expecting to iron clothes and found no iron. Check-in was stressful and unprofessional. There were three of us for a Loft Queen room, and we were open to paying or upgrading. The Indian staff member wouldn't let us into the room and told us to wait about 40 minutes. The problem wasn't the policy, it was how she handled it. She kept blaming us for not telling her earlier instead of finding a solution. Only after my friend spoke with her again were we allowed in temporarily. It felt defensive and inconsistent, with poor judgement, and no apology. Ms. Liza was polite and helpful. She brought slippers, tried to find an iron late at night, and apologized on the hotel's behalf. She showed what good customer service should look like. Very disappointing stay. Poor cleanliness and a bad front desk attitude. Please take action regarding that Indian staff member. Definitely our first and last visit!

The building is old, but the rooms are really nice. I had a Double Room Balcony. It was almost clean, and the bathroom and toilet were clean too. I really liked the squishy pillows. There's a pool as well, which surprised me! The location is handy for getting around, food and restaurants, and night bars. The receptionist in particular was kind and helpful.

Trying to check out at 7:00 a.m. at The Daulat by Hotel Calmo was a very frustrating experience. No one was at the front desk, nobody picked up the phone, and I waited more than 30 minutes without help. I couldn't return my key card or get my deposit. I missed my MRT plan because of the delay and had to take a ride-hailing car, which cost S$21.50. When I came back in the afternoon to return the key and collect the deposit, staff told me the front desk only operates from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Nobody had mentioned that at check-in, and there was no notice or sign in the hotel. For a hotel with overnight guests, having no early morning checkout help without clearly telling guests in advance is unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend it.

I paid $260 for two nights, but left less than five minutes after stepping into the hotel. The room was filthy, with dirt in every corner, including right beside the pillows. It smelled stale and felt stuffy, there were no windows, and the air conditioning barely worked. The woman at the counter tried moving us to another room. When the door opened, we found murky water across the wooden floor, leaking from the ceiling. I've never been one to post reviews, but this made me furious. $130 a night for those conditions is despicable. Worst hotel I've ever entered in Singapore.
