The Outpost Hotel Sentosa by Far East Hospitality

We stayed as a family at The Outpost Sentosa and would happily return. The central spot made it easy to get around Sentosa, and our little one loved having so many different pools to choose from. The room was modern, comfortable, and well looked after. Staff were welcoming and attentive, so everything from check-in through check-out went smoothly. We'd definitely recommend it.

The breakfast buffet cost an extra 10 SGD in taxes and fees on top of the stated price, which wasn't made clear. The food was poor, from unripe fruit to undercooked curry and coffee with no taste. The scrambled eggs were the worst I've ever had, even compared with budget hotels that only serve continental breakfast. I asked the staff at the buffet to cook them again, but they were still so nasty that I wouldn't eat them even if they gave back the 33 SGD I paid. That's what kept this from five stars. The rest was almost the best hotel stay ever. Staff were very friendly and quick to help, and I appreciated the welcome snacks and the high quality complimentary coffee and tea in the room. The room was beautifully designed, the bed comfortable, and the shower great. The pools were nice, and the small gym was clean.

We had a great two-day stay at The Outpost Hotel Sentosa, with a comfortable, clean room and lovely design. The amenities were excellent, and the location in Sentosa was ideal, close to Universal Studios Singapore and the SEA Aquarium. From check-in, the staff were helpful, friendly, and welcoming. They even surprised us with caramel popcorn, chips, and cookies. The atmosphere was great and the stay really relaxing. I'd highly recommend it and will definitely come back.

We were a family of three, including an 8-year-old, and the room got cold at night. We only needed one extra duvet to keep warm. Is that really too much to ask? I've never heard of a hotel refusing to provide one, even for a fee. How can a supposedly professional hotel run out of duvets and have no spare supplies? At check-in I asked the front desk for an extra blanket. They said the hotel was fully booked and had no extra duvet, although the booking app still showed rooms for sale. Staff also insisted that twin rooms only come with two duvets and that they don't provide another as a rule. I tried explaining, but got no help. I contacted the booking platform's customer service, and even after they followed up with the hotel, the answer was still no, not even for a fee. I used to consider Far East Organization a benchmark in hotel management, but this experience has put this hotel on my blacklist. I won't recommend it to anyone. It was an extremely unpleasant stay.
