Village Hotel Katong by Far East Hospitality

Our guests from Tanzania were very well looked after during their five-night stay. The rooms were large, comfortable, and clean, and the team took extra care of them. Breakfast is Halal, which is a plus. We especially want to thank the whole hotel team, particularly Hairi, for being efficient, polite, and accommodating. This is an exemplary hotel for hospitality. We’ll definitely recommend it to others. Thanks again.

The hotel is in the Marine Parade area, conveniently near an MRT station on the Thomson–East Coast Line. Rooms are a good size and comfortable, with the basic facilities you’d expect, and the staff are friendly and provide good service. A few minor things could be better: cleanliness, the toilet has no bidet spray, and the towels smelled a little musty. Apart from those, the stay was quite satisfactory.

The room was roomy and well kept, and the location made it easy to walk to food spots and a nearby mall. What made the stay especially good, though, was Harnek at reception. He welcomed me with a real smile, was professional and kind, and went out of his way to help me feel comfortable. That sort of service really matters. I’d give the experience 10/10 and would happily return. Thanks to Harnek and the team, and I’d recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the area.

The shower had especially good water pressure, which felt great after a humid day exploring Singapore, and the bed was comfortable for a good night's sleep. Village Hotel Katong is older, but it’s been looked after: the facilities were clean and housekeeping kept the room tidy. Staff were welcoming and ready to help with directions or transport, so arriving and getting around felt easy. We found it good value and a comfortable base for exploring the neighborhood.
