I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, and the rooftop had a lovely view over the Singapore skyline. The rooms are small, but they were spotless and had all the amenities I needed. The hotel is in a traditional shophouse right in the business district. It's close to the pier for scenic boat rides, and lots of attractions are within walking distance, so I didn't need taxis. It was a satisfying stay, and I'd choose this hotel again on my next visit to Singapore.

Jayleen 1918 on Carpenter Steet is in a great spot, just a few minutes' walk from Clark Quay station and a little farther to Raffles station. The room was tiny, about 9ft x 9ft, and cleanliness was poor. The elevator looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages, and the supposedly white sheets and towels could've used a heavy dose of Zonrox hehe. I found the smell in the hotel and room unpleasant, though bearable. I'd look at other options in the area next time.

The owner and staff were really helpful, and the rooms had a cozy "rococo" style. It's easy to get to nearby Indian food and public transport. A good hotel to stay at.

We were a couple and chose an economy room. It was a bit small, but quite good. The location is really convenient, near the MRT, Chinatown for good food, and Marina Bay. Nice place.

The room has no window and is right beside the elevator. ZEN Rooms Clarke Quay is a selected room at Jayleen 1918, and I think it's a good budget hotel in a very good location, with a nice rooftop view at night.
