Sunflower Accommodation

The owner was rude and hard to find, and charged us more than we’d expected from the booking. She also wouldn’t let us use the washing machine because previous guests had used it incorrectly. The room door is broken, the shower has no doors, and the plugs didn’t work. This could be a really nice place with some work. It’s about 15 minutes from the center, straight along one street.

The room is big, with a table and a large bed. There’s a shared kitchen, but unfortunately some guests left their used dishes in the sink instead of washing them. It’s only about a 20 minute walk to the three bridges. I’d have given it another star if the bathroom had a window that opened or some ventilation. The owner said that would be taken care of soon, with new windows upstairs, including in the top-floor bathroom.

The place looked different in person than it did in the photos, and the owner kept my deposit. Easily the worst accommodation I've ever had. I wouldn't recommend it.

The owner's behavior made this a terrible stay. We were told parking at the hostel was free, so when we arrived late with our car, we used the only open spot, even though it was a little tight. The next morning, the owner didn't greet us. She immediately shouted that we were “crazy” to park there and should have left the car a few streets away. She got angrier as we tried to talk, and wouldn't have a conversation with us. When we left, she said we should never come back. We agreed, and have no intention of returning. The room itself felt shabby, as if it might fall apart. The bathroom door nearly came off toward us, mosquitoes kept us awake, and the bed was uncomfortable.
