The room itself was nice, but we waited a while to get into the apartment because the owner hadn’t given us entry cards. After several calls, the owner finally picked up and sorted it out. The bathroom door wouldn’t close and kept sticking, so we had to help each other get out of there several times.

This is my second stay in Slovakia, and the manager has been great again, kind, welcoming, communicative and ready to find solutions. The price and comfort are a really good match. The apartments are in a lovely old building, with pristine sheets and bathroom. It’ll be my first choice next time I’m in town.

The rooms were comfortable and the location was handy, but the shower design and poor management put me off coming back. The shower has no door that covers the whole area, and its floor is basically flat, so water runs freely into the bathroom. After it flooded, I called the hotline for advice. The laminated guest cards hadn’t been updated for months, and the listed number belonged to someone who no longer worked there. He eventually gave me the apartment owner’s number, and I was able to explain the problem. It didn’t feel professionally run. There are other places in Bratislava that are just as convenient, with better management and showers that are better designed.

There are loads of good places for food and drinks within a couple of minutes of the front door, and the location is excellent. I loved the apartment, couldn’t have asked for more, and had a really good stay.
