We were very satisfied 😊😊 The cottage has a retro feel and loads of space, with great rooms, two toilets, a big terrace, and a garden. There’s a fireplace, kettle, and grill, and you can set the temperature inside and outside to match. The view of the High Tatras is excellent.

The service was really friendly, and we had no other complaints. It’s roughly a 20-25-minute walk to the Sucha Bela trail start and about 15 minutes to the Hornád Gorge trail. We also liked the lovely garden, with a badminton net, rackets, and shuttlecocks, and the wooden cottage has a picturesque Tatra Mountains view. The internet was slow. We booked through Booking.com, then were told only three days before arrival that there’d be a 100 euro deposit. That should have been made clear when we booked.

The hostess was pleasant and helpful. The cottage had the necessary equipment and sits in nice surroundings, close to the Slovak Paradise, with the Tatra Mountains in view.

The view is nice, and the cottage gets good light, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. During our winter visit the ground floor was freezing, probably because the building isn’t insulated well. Bring warm socks and slippers. There was a lot of dust and dirt on the floor and cobwebs, and basic things like soap, towels, and toilet paper were lacking. The interior didn’t match the photos either. Instead of comfortable seating for several people, there were two sofa beds that were very uncomfortable to sit on. The chairs at the table had no arms and kept falling apart. The bed mattresses were so worn out I’ve never seen any more stretched. The electric water heater is small, enough for two people, then you have to wait a long time for hot water.
