Choosing between Astrum Laus and this hotel? Go for the Golden Eagle. It feels cozy and welcoming, the rooms are great, with lots of good lighting, comfortable beds, reliable WiFi without a messy login, and a good bathroom. The staff were friendly every time. Ďakujem! Breakfast was good, though not great. I missed fresh orange juice, proper croissants, a smoothie, or something similar. It’s still good value for money. The gym is decent, but it could use disinfectant and paper for wiping things down. I didn’t try the sauna, but it’s nice that there is one. The hotel is a little old fashioned, and the regular keys instead of cards can feel a bit awkward, though you could call it retro ;). The restaurant is good too, but my rating here is for the hotel.

The building was lovely, and the hotel is well located in the center. My deluxe room was clean and spacious, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. My one complaint was the pillows: they were huge and very soft, which made it hard to get comfortable. Maybe that’s a Slovak thing, but I’m used to smaller, firmer, more supportive ones.

The wedding we attended went perfectly. We also ate at the restaurant a few times, and it’s probably my favorite in Levice. I only saw one hotel room briefly while dropping something off, but it looked nice.

My wife and I went for our anniversary and had a great time. The romantic dinner was delicious, inventive, and quite different from what we usually order.
