There are only two people working across the whole hotel, a receptionist and a cleaner. The receptionist is only there until 9 pm, so if something goes wrong after that, you're on your own. There's no restaurant, and the WiFi doesn't work well. The price is really high. I really don't recommend this hotel, and I don't think it deserves any of the stars it's been given.

The town and the surrounding countryside were lovely, which made the hotel experience all the more disappointing. The restaurant was a one-man operation, with one poor chap trying to wait tables and handle reception while the owners were served first and ate in the corner. He tried really hard to please, but it didn't seem fair on him. Checking out was a fiasco. We had to wait in the street to get into reception, then were charged for three people instead of two, even though it was a double room with a spare bed. Instead of helping us sort it out, they treated us aggressively. Maybe there was a language barrier.

They claim to have four stars, but I don't think they deserve any. There's no lift, and the WiFi only works near reception. Reception isn't always open, and you never know when someone will be there. The toaster is tiny, so you have to wait.

11.5.2019. Some of my best hotel stays in recent years. It's a small hotel in a former tower in the town fortifications, with thoughtful design, a tasty restaurant, and incredibly comfortable beds. In the morning, the only sound is birds singing. I'll definitely come back.
