The daily meal is generous: soup, a huge main dish, and dessert, all at a reasonable price. The food's great, and it's a nice place to stay, eat, or celebrate with family.

Good value and a nice, pet-friendly place. Just be aware that a small dog costs 25€, which feels a bit ridiculous compared with the room price.

The room was spacious, and the price seemed fair. It’s a handy place if you’re planning to visit the Castle. I didn’t try the food. They charge for the dog by the day, rather than just for the stay, and the manager was rude.

Breakfast was a letdown. We arrived around 9:00, though it was meant to be served until 10:00, and there was hardly anything left: a few buns and vegetables, some egg muffins or pancakes, no milk, empty juice jars, and no larger coffee cups. The pans of hot food were empty, and there were quite a lot of flies on the food. I’d been looking forward to it after seeing the Booking photos and reviews saying things were regularly replenished, but that wasn’t our experience. The Wi-Fi only worked near the TV, so we couldn’t use it from bed or elsewhere in the room. We got there late after a long drive and had picked the place because it had a 24-hour reception. The receptionist was talking with a man when I asked whether she spoke English. She said a little and asked us to wait 10 minutes. My husband and I went back to the car for a few things, then returned more than 15 minutes later and she was still chatting with him. After we waited some more, she started checking us in, with the man still seated right in front of her desk. I had to pass over my passport and money between them, and they kept laughing and talking during the check-in. I couldn’t understand what they were saying, and the whole thing felt really uncomfortable.
