Tornyos Penzión

Breakfast was a real highlight, especially the excellent coffee. The rooms are lovely after the renovation, peaceful, and equipped with lots of thoughtful touches, from herbal shampoo and mineral water to very soft towels. The bed was comfortable and didn’t slip around.

The guesthouse has a lovely style, and the restaurant serves fantastic food with plenty of variety. It can also be rented for family celebrations.

There’s a pleasant setup with a kitchen and outdoor seating where you can have coffee or a bite to eat. Weddings and other celebrations take place here from time to time. The downside is the busy road near the bus station. There’s often movement from homeless people in the park across the street, and at night, loud, sometimes drunk people pass by the station. There’s also a music school nearby.

I had a small, formal wedding here before the place had opened. I wish I could rate it higher.
