Breakfast was a real highlight, especially the delicious bread and homemade sausages. They kept checking whether we wanted more, which felt very welcoming. They make their own wine too, and we found it tasty and inexpensive compared with Dutch supermarkets, never mind liquor stores. You can borrow wine glasses from the kitchen, chill a bottle, and sit outside in the sun or stay in the air conditioning, which we needed with it at 36 degrees. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and comfortable, and the whole place is peaceful and well cared for. We were first given a big room with a jacuzzi, but I prefer a regular wall mounted shower. Switching rooms was no trouble, and the shower in the new room was so good I wish we had one at home. I’ve since learned shower setups vary by country, so it’s just something to know. We were amazed by the place. It looks lovely, is relaxing to stay at, and everyone was kind. Definitely recommend it!
