APLEND Villa Dr Szontagh Est 1876

We liked it so much that we extended our stay, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. The location made it easy to get around: restaurants and trailheads were within walking distance, and it was handy being among all the towns in the Tatras. The owner and her family were wonderful and accommodating, helping us plan our whole visit to the High Tatras with restaurant and hiking suggestions. Our rooms were updated and really comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of options, and they were accommodating about dietary restrictions. Amazing all around.

The place has a lot of character and privacy, the opposite of a big anonymous hotel. It gave us a strong Wes Anderson vibe, and we had a great time here. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. The spacious rooms have been tastefully redesigned. We’ve stayed here twice now, and this definitely won’t be our last visit. One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in, especially for exploring the mountains.

I’ve been here three times already and am booking my fourth. This is somewhere I plan to return to regularly in the coming years. The Villa is stylish, quiet, beautifully decorated, and clean, with a great atmosphere and very friendly staff who make you feel at home. Breakfast is yummy, the sheets are soft, the views are lovely, and the mountain trails are very close.

The private spa was great, and the location is just right, quiet while still very close to the center. Breakfast tasted good, and the staff were attentive to guests’ needs. They went above and beyond throughout our stay. The rooms are beautifully designed, with elegant, high-quality furniture. Amazing staff, 100% recommend.
