The room was a highlight: it was big, the bed was nice, the bathroom was good, and the views were lovely. The staff were really friendly, though they weren’t good at English. Breakfast was the one letdown. There wasn’t much to choose from, nothing hot, bread that seemed a day old, dried-out cheese, and hot dogs. Even so, leaving breakfast aside, this was one of my favorite places to stay on our trip from Krakow to Budapest.

The location worked perfectly for us, with restaurants about 3 minutes from the door and hiking trails around 5 minutes away. We were 8 friends staying in the two "Mezonet" apartments, each small and set up for 4 people, which suited our group well. The host was flexible, and we could park both cars right in front using the included parking. That was a real plus since parking in the Tatras is difficult and expensive. We had a great night at Villa Mon Ami and would definitely recommend it.
