Villa Mala Praha Experience in the Center of Zilina

I booked the wrong dates, and it was almost impossible to find a phone number or email for the owner. We eventually spoke by phone but couldn't reach an agreement. They were within their rights to ask for the full 100% cancellation fee, but even after agreeing to email me an invoice, I never received one. Now they don't even list an email address or phone number. The hotel itself may be nice, but the owner's communication is terrible. This isn't how a proper hotel should operate.

The rooms are lovely and the location is great. The downside is how much you hear through the door from people visiting the other apartments. At 3am, some drunk people came in and couldn't get into their room, and every bit of it carried through.

We had a really good stay at Villa Malá Praha. I took my son to Žilina for a spontaneous few-day trip, and we both slept well. It was close enough to the center, and the air-conditioned room was a relief while it was so hot outside. There was cold mineral water waiting for us, and we could make tea or coffee. The bathroom was roomy enough and separate from the toilet. We were tired in the evening, but could relax with Netflix. I definitely recommend it.

The place was clean and looked fairly new, but the room was small. The bed sat very high and was quite soft. There was nowhere to put anything in the bathroom besides a toothbrush. The bedside socket was occupied by the lamp, so charging my phone meant sitting in the dark.
