The hostel's dogs suddenly attacked us. My boyfriend had his backpack in front of us and the dogs bit into it, but one still managed to bite my hand. The owners saw what happened and didn't intervene, even when I was screaming. When we asked about a doctor or hospital, they gave us no information. They never checked on me or apologized. The owners were rude throughout our three-night stay and didn't even greet us. The kitchen was filthy and full of insects, and they charged a few extra dollars to use it. The pool was very dirty, and the bathrooms and other facilities weren't cleaned daily. I had to see a doctor after being bitten, and the owners didn't care at all. Do not book this hostel under any circumstances.

The main thing to know is that this place felt unsafe. The owners' dogs attacked us during our stay, and a massive pitbull bit my partner. The owners did nothing to stop them while we tried to defend ourselves, with only a backpack for protection. We had to go to the hospital and involve the police. Their indifference during and after the attack was shocking, and it seemed clear they didn't care about guest safety. The rooms were bare, moldy, and smelled neglected. The kitchen was filthy and cost extra to use, and the facilities were hardly cleaned. The whole atmosphere was unfriendly and uncomfortable. Avoid Kali Hostal if you value your safety.

We booked through AirBnb, and that part worked well. The place has seen better days, but it was okay overall. Our private room floor definitely hadn't been cleaned before we arrived. I also rated it down because they wanted to charge $10 per hour to hold our backpacks after checkout. That felt like a rip-off and showed how little the owner or management cares.

We meant to stay a month to surf, but left after two weeks when the dog bit my girlfriend and made her bleed. It's a curious dog that comes up to lick you, but sometimes bites too hard, so don't play with it. We wanted to leave and get a refund afterward, but the owners didn't care about guest safety. They're difficult people. We involved the police and eventually got some of our money back, but not all of it. In my opinion, the woman is an evil person. She yelled at us when we said we would call the police, even though we were the victims. The rooms smell really bad, the kitchen is dirty and needs a deep clean, and they only wipe the surfaces. The pool is dirty with lots of old mangoes in it, and there are cockroaches too. Avoid this hostel.
