Hotel Villa Terra

A real gem for a 2-4 night visit to the capital. The neighborhood felt safe, and it was clean...

I loved my stay here. The location felt safe, the rooms were nice, and the hot water was reliable. Breakfast was included and really good, and guests can use the pool at the hotel across the street. The security guard who looks after the parking lot was especially nice. Across the street, the pupisaria has the best pulidas I've tried.

I don't usually leave bad reviews, but this stay was a real letdown. They gave out my room number without asking me, which violated my privacy. I could never find the desk attendant when I needed basic things for the room, and my sheets weren't changed during my stay. This could be a nice hotel if they had more staff available to help when needed.

The rooms were nice, but the shower had almost no pressure. We had to face the wall to shower. It also felt odd, unsafe, and like a hassle that nobody was ever at the hotel's reception. The door was open, so anyone could come and go. If we needed anything, we had to cross the street and talk to someone at the Mirador Hotel reception, since they now own Villa Terra. We couldn't call the reception either because the room phone never worked. Breakfast was across the street as well.
