Vipa Tropical Resort

Set in a side road in the older part of town, up the hill from the main street, this place has plenty of food options along the walk down and good coffee across the road. The bungalows look authentic, with quality updates, and sit in lush, forest-like gardens. Being under the cliff gives you striking karst views and shade across many of the bungalows during the day. You might also run into monkeys. The staff were very helpful, and I can’t see myself staying anywhere else next time.

The cliff views are out of this world, and the pool is great. It’s a wonderful, quiet place to stay. The rooms are clean, with daily room service, and the staff keep the toiletries replenished. Reception staff are kind and offer tips on what to do and avoid.

The rooms are spacious, tidy, and clean, and there’s a free shuttle to Ao Nang Beach at set times. The resort feels like paradise, surrounded by greenery with towering limestone mountains behind it. It’s also not far from Ao Nang Beach or the departure points for trips to the 4 islands, Phi Phi, and Railay beach. You can rent a motorcycle just a few meters from the hotel. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Stayed for 10 nights and loved it. It’s peaceful and away from the main strip of Ao Nang, and the staff take really good care of the beautiful grounds. Such nice people working here.
