I left after two days for a cheaper hostel in a better location. Bangkok has plenty of nicely designed places that are central for a similar price or even less, so I wouldn't spend my money here. I was looking for a lively hostel, but this one was almost empty, with no atmosphere and no other travellers or patrons to talk to. It felt like only somewhere to sleep, and even that wasn't comfortable because the beds were stiff and hard like plastic or a plank of wood. The WiFi was good, which mattered to me. There are mostly condominiums and two shopping malls around the hostel. When I checked the neighborhood the next day, there was very little street food during the day; at night there were more choices, but the food was disappointing compared with other parts of Bangkok. The hostel is also in a remote, out-of-the-way area without local attractions. They advertise it as near the skytrain, which sounds convenient until you realize the train doesn't go to the temples or city center, and other sights are far away. It took me almost two hours to get to Bangkok’s famous temples and Khao San road. Chatuchak market was a 45-minute skytrain trip, China town required switching to the subway, and bars and clubs were at least half an hour away. The skytrain isn't cheap either, so I spent a lot of time and money getting around.
