All day hostel @ BTS Bang Chak by ZUZU

There’s a lot of room even in the bed spaces, so you can keep your luggage there. The hostel is very big and spacious, with a decorative lobby and a cosy common area. A few downsides: there’s no drinking water provided, and the single refrigerator is always full. The kitchen has very little in it and no cooking facilities. The air conditioning runs throughout the whole place, including the bedrooms.

I didn't stay at the hostel, but while I was visiting, the outdoor smoking area smelled strongly of cannabis, and the smell spread around the property. I hope management can address it so future guests can be more comfortable.

There was a strong cannabis smell right at the entrance and all through the lobby, which made the atmosphere really unpleasant. Unfortunately, it didn't seem like the property was managing the situation.

I was impressed by the hostel’s roomy common areas and the receptionists, who were extremely helpful. I also left my phone charger adapter at the charging point and found it still there when I came back about half an hour later. That says something good about the honesty around the place. It was my first time staying in a hostel, and I wanted to see what backpacker life was like. The room had a bad smell, though the linens looked good, and the toilets weren’t very clean. I spent time in the common areas until about 4:30 a.m., got up early, and went back there again. Management should inspect the cleaning more regularly and check that the smell is being dealt with.
