B2 Don Mueang Premier Hotel

The rooms are nice and the air conditioning cools well. The hotel is close to the airport, which is why I've stayed here several times, and it's fine for a night if you have business nearby. For a holiday, I wouldn't choose it. The staff have been terrible each time, never smiling or welcoming me. Don't ask for an extra pillow: doing so seems to offend them, and they do whatever they can to avoid giving you one.

The location is handy, with a Seven Eleven right beside the hotel and two metro lines at opposite ends of the street. Rooms are fairly spacious. There's only one elevator, and you need an access card to select a floor. You can ask reception to swipe it for you. Once you've used up the drinking water provided, there isn't any more for free. It was a good stay overall.

Getting around was difficult because major road construction was underway in the area at the time. During busy hours, the nearest U-turn was closed, leaving the roundabout as the way to get across. The room itself was comfortable, nice, and roomy, but the air conditioners took a while to cool it down when we returned. Parking was limited and tight. The security guard and front desk clerk pushed back on how I'd parked, but accepted my explanation of why I needed to park that way. One time I needed something, the person at the desk seemed more focused on her phone than on helping me.

We stayed two nights as a family in a two double-bed room on the seventh floor, and we felt comfortable enough to come back. We weren't troubled by the pump noise people mention in reviews. To us it was just background white noise, though we're normal sleepers, not especially light or deep sleepers. The beds were very comfortable, the shower worked fine, and the air conditioning was nice and cold. We had everything we needed. There's a 7-11 downstairs, a couple of street food stalls, and the BTS is a few minutes' walk away. The airport took around 15-20 minutes by car, depending on traffic. Cleanliness was okay. We noticed a few hairs, but otherwise the room was pretty clean. I'd recommend it to people wanting to stay near the airport.
