Best Western Sukhumvit 20

The room was so comfortable that we spent a lot of time in it, enjoying the street view and bright sunlight through the floor-to-ceiling glass. The reception staff greeted us with smiles, and the manager upgraded us even though it was year-end, which we really appreciated. The biggest surprise came on the evening of the 31st, when management left us complimentary wine in the room. Such a lovely gesture. My family had a fantastic stay, and we hope to come back when we visit Bkk again. Much love 💕

I didn’t arrive until 2:30 in the morning after a late flight, but the night staff welcomed me and kindly helped with my luggage. The room was gorgeous and had a great view. The hotel is in a really neat area, within walking distance of authentic Thai restaurants, good shopping, and local entertainment. Thanks to every staff member who made me feel welcome. Highly recommend 💯

The evening security guard was the one bright spot. He was very nice. The rest of the service was poor. I reported the damaged shower during my stay, but it was never fixed, and I also found on the first day that my door wouldn’t close at all, which felt like a security issue. I asked for a late checkout, but they said they couldn’t provide one and that checkout was at 1 p.m. Then I heard them tell another guest checking in that he could get a two-hour early check-in if he signed up for the rewards membership. I’m a member too, and I’d checked in late, at 8 p.m. At checkout, the GSA ignored me and helped two other guests who came after me.

A traveller and excursion hotel in the Sukhimvit Center, a couple of blocks from Asoke, where two MRT stations intersect. It’s modern, with basic appointments: a fridge with water but no other drinks, a safe, Wi-Fi, and a good bathroom. There’s a 7-11 close by.
