Boxpackers Hostel Phranakorn

The rooms and boxes were very clean, and the location was just right, about 500 metres from Khao San Road. We came to sleep for the night, then headed out in the morning to see Golden Mount, which is also very close. The staff were very helpful. You can reach them directly in the attached photo.

The location is handy, just a few minutes from Khao San Road and 7/11, with lots of restaurants nearby. Though it’s close to Khao San Road, it wasn’t noisy, and the food there was good. The beds are comfortable and have curtains, the bathroom and toilet were clean, there’s CCTV in the room, and each room opens with a key card. The staff weren’t especially friendly, but they weren’t rude either. There are so many stairs, which could be uncomfortable with luggage, and the staff won’t help carry it. During my stay, a staff member came in to clean without realizing I was there and spoke loudly on the phone while I was sleeping, which annoyed me. Those stairs and that incident were the only things that bothered me; the rest was good, and it’s worth staying here.

I’ve booked here for a second time because the location is so convenient. The rooms, beds, sheets, and bathrooms are clean. You can walk to Khao San or toward the City Center, but it’s far enough away to stay quiet. It’s easy to grab a ride in any direction, and the lobby coffee is great.

The free laundry is a nice extra. The beds are quite comfortable by Asian standards and offer privacy, and the air-conditioned lobby has a modern look. The staff are friendly and helpful. Just make sure you shut the doors properly yourself, or they’ll keep giving off a signal. I can recommend this hostel, the price and what you get are definitely good.
