The second room seemed to have everything in place at first, but problems showed up quickly. The AC still hadn't cooled it after about an hour, and in the morning the shower drain wouldn't clear. Water flooded the whole room. I managed to shower and get out, but it was stress for no reason. I'd read the reviews here before booking, rather than Agoda. The hotel is centrally located on a busy street with restaurants and a grocery store, but it doesn't look much like the Agoda photos. The 50-baht cleaning fee for Agoda bookings surprised me, though it wasn't worth arguing over. The receptionist spoke little English, which made things a bit of a hassle, but wasn't my main issue. The room was small, worn out, and cramped. The toiletries weren't great, so I used my own shower gel. My first room had a broken toilet seat. Reception had trouble understanding me, but they came to look and seemed shocked at its condition. I wondered whether rooms were being cleaned and inspected. They spent about an hour trying to fix it without success, then moved me to a lower floor. There are lots of budget places around Bangkok. Next time I'm there, I'd pick one of those instead.

The room looked nothing like the advertised photos. I asked for twin beds but got one large bed, and the mattress was extremely hard and uncomfortable. There were several stains in the bathroom, and the power sockets were poorly maintained and clearly needed repair. The area was also a nuisance, with crowded Indian restaurants whose staff kept approaching guests and calling out. For the same price, I'd look farther from the city center. There are much better options, so think twice before booking.

At night there was no peace. Drunk people shouted, fought, and made a racket until morning. There's no soundproofing, and I didn't feel safe. It doesn't seem suitable for families, more like being in the middle of a rowdy street with no rules. The locks on both the room and bathroom doors were barely attached, as if a push could break them. With no security presence, I felt exposed the whole stay, constantly on alert in case something went wrong. The odors were awful too. The bathroom hit you with a filthy, nauseating stench that made it hard to breathe, and the room had a constant unpleasant smell, like it hadn't been cleaned properly in ages. This was one of the most unsettling and unsafe hotel experiences I've had. I'd strongly advise people, especially families, to stay far away.

The hotel was marked “Agoda Recommended” and “Preferred,” supposedly a sign that it was trusted and verified. What do those labels mean if basic things like clean rooms, hot water, and safe conditions aren't there? The leaking AC was directly above an electrical bulb, an obvious safety hazard. I'm deeply disappointed with Agoda for recommending it, and I won't trust that label again. On the night of 21st August, an intruder got into the hotel and knocked on guests' doors before staff removed him. This should be recorded on their CCTV, and it left me feeling extremely unsafe. My first room was dirty and the shower was rusted. I asked to move, but the second room had no hot water. I reported it multiple times, and all I was told was “no technician is available.” Nothing was done. The second room's AC also leaked onto my bags and drenched them. I uploaded photos of the leak and staff trying to clean it. I was woken in the middle of the night to call staff to mop up water. That's not what anyone expects from a hotel. I reported everything to Agoda right away, but nothing meaningful happened. After weeks of follow-ups, they said the hotel wasn't answering calls, and offered just $36 back for a six-night stay. Completely unacceptable. This was the worst stay I've had, unsafe and unclean, and not worth the money. I'd strongly advise people to avoid it.
