FX Hotel Metrolink Makkasan

Getting around was easy from here. The hotel sits down an alley, which cuts down some street noise, and the metro, light rail, airport express, and Saen Saep canal water bus are all within about a five-minute walk. It's in an expat area rather than the main tourist district, with good mid-range restaurants nearby and no gogo bars or massage parlours around. My room was clean, nice, and well equipped, with tea, coffee, bedside lighting, and power outlets. The mattress sagged a little, but was comfortable and didn't disturb my sleep. The bathroom was nice too, though the water pressure was low and came in bursts. I still had some good showers. Service was friendly and helpful. I didn't try breakfast. It met what I was looking for, and I was very happy with my stay.

For a reasonable price, I couldn't ask for more. The room was clean and practical, with everything needed, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and had a decent range of choices. The location is excellent for public transport, with both the MRT and Airport Link within walking distance.

Breakfast had a good selection, and the Thai-style options were first class. The rooms were clean and comfortable enough, with strong WiFi throughout. Staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful, and there's a baggage store where you can leave a bag while travelling. The Airport Train and MRT are easy to reach. I'll definitely stay here again.

With Bangkok traffic as bad as it is, having a metro station right next door is a huge plus. The location is great, the rooms are decent and spacious, and the staff are welcoming and helpful. Room service was quick. Just so you know, the food isn't halal. The buffet breakfast was pretty underwhelming, and I expected a lot more. Also, the “swimming pool” is really just a jacuzzi, lol. Those are the two reasons I'm taking off a star.
