The room we booked turned out to be available after all, but only after an argument with staff. At first, we were told it wasn't available and were given a bare concrete cubicle that felt like a jail, with black smears on the walls and a torn, shredded bath mat. It was really unpleasant. I told staff that this wasn't the room we had booked and that I couldn't accept it. They said it was the best room available. The next morning we saw the room we originally reserved down the hall. I spoke with the same staff member from the night before, who reluctantly gave me its key. The hotel has a reasonably good location for Chatuchak park and Market, clean hallways, and a cute little open-air lounge near the roof. A fresh coat of paint and some new towels would help a lot. Still, it's sad to have to argue just to get the room you booked and paid for. I included a photo of the shredded bath mat and the “view” from our room. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it.

We stayed at G9 Bangkok Hotel by February 5, 2025. For the budget, it was just okay, as we'd expected, but the restrooms need improvement. It's a long way from the clubs and pubs. I'd suggest checking the rooms in person and booking after you arrive instead of reserving online.

The hotel is near Chatuchak park, but the rooms are old and smell a bit. There's no TV, free coffee packets, or water boiler, and it feels like nothing has been updated in decades. It may cost under $20 US on a midweek night, but there are better places nearby at the same price. Shop around and skip this one.

It's in a good spot, right in front of chanel 7, but the rooms are all old and the bathroom smells. I wouldn't recommend it for a long stay.

My family and I had a lovely time here and would definitely come back. The staff were respectful and accommodating, and even let us have an extra bed put in the room.
