Grace At Five by Grace Hotel Bangkok

Housekeeping entered our room the next day without our consent, although we had asked not to have it cleaned. They handled and moved our belongings, which felt like a serious invasion of privacy. Then the hotel said it had found smoking-related items in our luggage and moved us back into a smoking room, even though we don’t smoke and had signed a document agreeing not to smoke in the room. This followed a bad start: although we had specifically booked a non-smoking room, we were first given a smoking one that smelled extremely unpleasant as soon as we walked in. After we complained, they moved us to a non-smoking area and asked us to sign the no-smoking document, which was fine with us. The whole stay was frustrating. The service felt unprofessional, communication was poor, and the way they handled everything left us feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. I absolutely can’t recommend this hotel. Book somewhere else if you want a clean, good place to stay.

The rooms are a decent size and not bad, with reasonably comfortable beds and good shower pressure. Some staff were helpful, while others were rude and lazy. It was annoying and inconvenient to find that the pool is in a different building belonging to another hotel. They should make that clear on their website.

The pool is in a separate building, so using it means changing and carrying extra things over. That’s inconvenient and not user friendly. The rooms themselves are comfortable, with good-sized beds, blackout curtains, tea and coffee facilities, a safe, and a bathroom with a roomy shower and solid water pressure. There’s also a large LCD smart TV with some English channels, including ABC Australia. Grace at five by grace hotels is modern, but service needs work. The manageress was friendly and helpful, while the girl who checked me in was poor and didn’t have basic customer service skills. I’d still recommend it for comfort and wouldn’t mind staying again.

There’s a 7eleven around the corner, and the MRT is only a few clicks away, so the location is handy. It’s a nice, clean hotel with spacious, soundproof rooms. The main thing missing is a desk, so it only suits a business trip if you already have somewhere to work. There was no business center during my stay. Aside from that, the hotel is good.
