Laike Hotel

Although it's rated 3 stars, I think it deserves a higher rating. The rooms have modern interiors and are super clean, which should suit people with allergies. The staff were friendly, and even though most of the guests seemed to be Chinese, all the staff spoke excellent English.

Getting around on public transport was easy, and breakfast was nicely set up and tasted good. The room was roomy, clean, and reasonably priced in what seemed like a pretty new hotel. Communication in English wasn't perfect, but it caused no problems. I noticed the room numbers started at 8, which I guess is a lucky number in China. I'd recommend an even-numbered room. :)

The hotel's clean and seems new, and I liked the room and my stay. It seemed to cater mostly to Chinese guests, but the desk understood English, especially the manager, who helped us with laundry at the end. Thanks to her! Getting around was the inconvenient part. The hotel is a bit far from the center, and finding a taxi or Grab was a real problem. Going back and forth got a bit expensive. If you're okay with arranging transport, there is a bus right outside.

If you like sleeping in a smoking room, this hotel suits you. But if you don't like smoking areas, it won't suit you, since smoking is allowed in every room for 1,000 baht. Give it a try!
