Mahannop Hostel

The location was good, and although our room had no window, it was clean, had AC, and gave us a roof over our heads. The rest of the stay was rough. The bed was unbelievably hard, the Wi-Fi didn't work on the second floor, and the staff didn't seem interested in fixing it. The outlets were hit or miss too. Some worked but weren't secured to the wall, so the charger kept slipping out. Others were firmly attached but didn't work at all. When we arrived, the night staff member actually laughed behind our backs as we carried our suitcases up to the second floor. What kind of goblin does that?

I stayed for about a week last fall and had a great time. The front desk team were kind, the location was amazing, and the facilities and rooms were clean and well kept. The rooms were nice and cool, too. I liked it enough to book again for my next Bangkok visit. I had emailed several times to ask about check-in and got quick replies each time. Then I realized I'd been checking the wrong email account, so I had to rewrite my review. The hostel's customer service was quick and considerate, and I was the one at fault. Great staff, a clean and comfortable hostel, and good service. I just need to learn how to use email properly! If you want somewhere affordable, calm, and clean in the heart of Bangkok, I'd recommend it.

For the price, it was just what we needed for our one-night stay, arriving late and leaving early. The room and shared bathroom were clean. It's located inside the Amazon cafe.

It was only 200 baht for the night, and the air conditioning worked really well. The rooms, showers and toilets were clean. The place was very quiet. I only saw two other guests while I was there.
