That reception lounge was a real highlight. We could relax there before check-in, and Baby, the party host, was great at bringing energy to the parties and pub crawls. My one small suggestion is to clean the pillows in the lounge more often since so many passing guests use them. The dorm had 22 beds, but it didn't feel that way, and the beds and sheets were clean. The air conditioning worked well, and the staff were welcoming. Gokul and Daniel communicated really well, James handled the guests nicely, and the owner, Christin, was very sweet. One of the finest hostels I've stayed in.

The free activities made it easy to meet people, whether you joined a language or cooking class or just spent time in the lobby or outdoor area. I'd definitely try the cooking class if you get the chance. Senter, James, and Daniel were great staff. It's a good base for Khao San Road, and despite being so close, it wasn't especially loud at night. The rooms were clean and had giant lockers.

I couldn't rest in the lobby at all. There was constant noise, bright lighting, people talking, and others walking past while I was lying on the floor. It's supposed to be available for naps or a few hours of sleep, but the setup makes that impossible. The reception area is very large, with mats or thin mattresses and small pillows that look like they haven't been washed in months. It feels like the opposite of a place to relax.

I left my second backpack there after asking if I could store it while I traveled on to another country. They said yes, but when I came back, nobody could find it. I wouldn't leave your things there. There's also a bad smell right by the entrance now. You notice it as soon as you walk in, and it makes the common area partly, or maybe completely, unpleasant to hang out in.
