Khaosan Art Hotel

The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional, and the location made it easy to get around because everything was close by. I also liked that they provide unlimited free water, which is so cool. For the price, the hotel exceeded my expectations and was great value. I had a great stay and would definitely come back.

The staff were really nice and arranged an airport pickup for 700 bht, which was a godsend after my late arrival. There are lots of amenities nearby, with a pharmacy and 7/11 downstairs and next door. The restaurant also gives guests a discount. My room had a double bed and a private bathroom, and the water was warm. If you’re on a higher floor, be ready to walk, though it wasn’t too bad and the signs encouraging you up the stairs were cute.

The service and people were the best part. We had a misunderstanding about the low floor, but for the first time in my eight months in Thailand, a place handled it fairly and honestly, showed real humanity, solved it fast, and gave me free nights because of the problem. The restaurant is good and has vegan and vegetarian food. The location is “hot,” and the rooms are clean, though some are very small and others bigger. The stairs are safe, but there’s no elevator, so if you have a disability, check whether a low floor is available.

Great location, friendly staff, and good air con. My unit was very small, but it was cozy and clean, and fine for two nights. The private washroom was surprisingly roomy compared with the rest of the unit. It can get a little noisy when neighbours stumble around at 1-2 am. A great budget stay.
