OYO 965 Art Hotel Sanamchai

There’s plenty of authentic local food right around the market, and the location is very strategic. The place is behind the market, and you have to go upstairs twice to get there. My room was fairly spacious, with a chair, table, clean towels, and a clean toilet. The staff were welcoming and very friendly, which I really appreciated.

The river view is wonderful, and the hostel is right in the middle of the flower market. The room was comfortable and the bathroom clean, though it could use a little maintenance. The bunk bed squeaks annoyingly. With so much to offer, I was surprised the place was so quiet.

The river is right across the way, with lovely views and amazing sunsets. Khaosan Rd. and China Town are both around a 20-25 minute walk from this spot just behind, almost in the middle of, the Flower Market. I paid about $70 for four nights in a private room with a bathroom and AC. I thought it came with a balcony, but there was a wall behind the doors. The shower was quite filthy, with a lot of water mold, though the rest of the room was clean. Staff were very friendly. There's a small kitchen you can use for free, plus the game area shown in the photos, and they also have shared dorms, so it's backpacker-friendly. In general, I had a good stay.

You can catch a boat at the pier right beside the hostel, yodpiman, and ride to places along the river like Wat Arun and Asiatique. I even got to wake up to a sunrise over the water. The rooms were neat and the bathroom was great, with facilities that went beyond what I expected. Breakfast and water were free, and there were plenty of books and board games to enjoy. I'd definitely come back.
