Palette Bangkok Airport Hotel

The room had plenty of space and was clean. Fine for a quick night before a flight.

The pool was nice and cold. The front desk was unattended until 11am, though, and the AC barely worked. Even with it turned up high, our room stayed at 28 degrees all night.

The room was missing toiletries, and one panel of the shower door wasn't there. Staff were hardly around and had trouble communicating in English. The website called this a five-star hotel, but it felt more like a two-star motel at best. It's near Bangkok airport, yet there was no shuttle, and the airport rail link doesn't connect to the hotel despite what the website says. Don't spend your money here.

Thankfully, we were only here for one night before our flight. The breakfast buffet wasn't continental and seemed aimed at local Thai tastes. If you're from elsewhere, you may be left with bread and margarine. There wasn't milk for tea or coffee, or cornflakes. We booked a deluxe room for three, but got a shabby, tiny room with barely enough room to walk or unpack. The bathroom had no toiletries at all, including soap, face wash, moisturizer, conditioner, toothbrushes, or a toilet kit. The staff and service were awful, and there was nothing good about the hotel. One short woman at reception, whose name I don't know, was especially rude. She made us feel guilty for asking for help, pulled angry faces, and led us to the room with us walking behind her like slaves. Management should let her go if they want to avoid more bad guest experiences. The food and rooms were horrible too. Stay away.
