Red Pin Inn

The staff at The Red Pin Inn have been phenomenal, friendly and accommodating with what I've got going on. Over the past few days I've had a great time here, even though shared spaces and temporary accommodations always have a few things that could be better. I left a list of possible tweaks they could consider to improve guest satisfaction. It's cosy, safe and centrally located, and they can store your luggage while you're away, or if you don't want to carry it up the stairs. I ended up here after getting kicked out of my last exploitative living situation, which turned out to be a blessing. The "landlord", more like an illegal co-co-co manager, doesn't want to refund me any money and maybe stole my debit card, though I have no proof, so that's only a maybe. Anyway, avoid "Danita's Home" like the plague. Even the name is a lie: they don't live there, and there are no managers or staff living there. I was the free, unaware manager lol. I'm not sure what I'm doing tonight, but that's a later problem, not a now problem.

It felt safe and peaceful here, and the staff were accommodating. The price was affordable too. There's no elevator, but that was okay.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is in a quiet, clean area, just a minute's walk from 7/11, with lots of delicious street food at the corner. The rooms are spotless but small. I personally like narrow, cosy rooms, so it suited me well. Downstairs there's a common area where you can make noodles or microwave food and eat. They provide utensils and a watercooler, plus free Mama noodles, snacks and coffee. A laundry machine is on the second floor and costs 60 Baht per use. The main drawback was the lack of a lift. I was on the fourth floor, so climbing the stairs was really tiring. The language barrier was also frustrating at times, though Google Translate made it possible to communicate.

I stayed here on my own for more than two weeks while getting dental work done, and felt safe on the quiet street. There’s a pleasant shared area, plus private rooms with daily cleaning if you want it. Neither of the rooms I used had a window, which helped me sleep really well. There’s no elevator. I’d definitely recommend this little inn.
