Sabai Sabai Liveaboard Bangkok

I slept better here than I have in months. The rooms are so cute, and I loved the Tusselberry / Magenta color scheme. There are a few spots to lie out and sun worship, plus a dining area outside and a living area. It was peaceful in abundance, even though the market is busy during the day. As Roger said, the noise and activity stopped after 5 pm. My room had its own lavatory, and there’s a refrigerator for guests, with alcoholic beverages for sale in the one on the 2nd floor. When I arrived, other guests were in the rooms I’d booked, but the owner offered me another room without disturbing them. Roger wasn’t there when I arrived, but he sent a welcoming WhatsApp message telling me to make myself comfortable. His dog is super sweet and won’t bother you. I could charge my phone without buying an adapter, too. He has two other boats that do tours. Check the message from the owner in your booking app and let him know when you expect to check in. To get there, go through the market. There’s another corridor you can use after hours. A 7-11 is only a 3-4 minute walk from the boatel. It’s next to a great market area for Western and Thai cuisine.

Roger suggested the daily hop-on-hop-off boat tour for 150 baht, and it was a great tip. We got to explore the major piers and riverside landmarks easily. Shops, restaurants, and attractions were all within walking distance, and the boatel is right near Tha Maharaj Pier. Staying on the Chao Phraya River with Sabai Sabai Liveaboard was unforgettable. Waking up to the gentle motion of the water and boats drifting past felt magical, and the city lights reflecting on the river at night made it even more special. Roger and Ben made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Such a unique way to experience Bangkok, and we’ll definitely come back.

We had a great time here. Roger was a wonderful host and full of useful information. In the morning, sitting on the sun deck and watching Bangkok come alive was amazing, with so many boats and so much activity on the river. At night, the river was very calm. The rooms are small, as you’d expect on a boat, but the location makes up for that. Major tourist attractions are close by. For Grab or a taxi, use Maharaj as the destination, then it’s only a 2 or 3 minute walk from the pickup point to the pier. There’s also a great food market a 2-minute walk away, across the river by ferry, and the hop-on tourist boat stops here too. It was fun.
