Siam Subway Hostel and Café

The bed was very hard, though I did get used to it. Bathrooms don’t have regular hand towels, and each floor has one bathroom per gender, with one shower and two toilets. There’s just one small mirror in the room, mounted low on the wardrobe door, so it wasn’t very useful. On the plus side, the room was affordable, the air conditioning worked well, and I liked being able to open the windows while keeping the mosquito nets in place. The bath towels were very good, and staff were friendly and helpful. Great location near an MRT station.

This has become my regular place in BKK. I’ve stayed five times already and booked my next two visits, too. The hostel is very clean, and the rooms are comfortable. Front desk and cafe staff are always kind and gracious; the coffee and food are delicious. The location is hard to beat, just steps from the MRT, a beautiful park, grocery store and mall, Chinatown, and several great morning markets. The neighborhood feels absolutely safe, just like the rest of Bangkok. I recommend it as a place to stay whenever you’re here.

I haven’t stayed overnight, but I come by every morning for espresso. The staff are great and showed me the rooms. For the price, a private bed with a shared bathroom seems hard to beat. It’s right behind the metro stop. I’d recommend it to friends, and even though I’m not on a budget, I’d consider staying here.

I was there for two days and thought everything was great. It has the facilities you’d want in a hostel, and the host was really friendly. The cafe on the ground floor was good, too. It’s in a quiet spot not far from the main road. Whether you’re traveling solo or with a group, I think this is a great choice. I’ll stay here every time I visit Bangkok.
