Siam Swana Hotel

The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the price is reasonable for a city hotel. It’s well placed for MBK Mall. The rooms could use an update. They’re small, have no windows, and the walls are thin enough that you hear people in other rooms. It’s also close to a busy road, so there’s plenty of traffic noise. In my room, the air conditioner faced the bed and blew directly on me. I found that uncomfortable, but turning it off made the room too hot.

I spent one night here in the second week of February 2026. The staff were very friendly and polite, but the property didn’t feel worth staying at to me, and I wouldn’t recommend it. Bangkok is hot, and there’s no elevator or air conditioning in the hallways. My room felt tight with a king bed in it, the walls were thin, and there was an unpleasant smell I couldn’t identify. It was okay for a single night.

I was impressed by the hotel interior. The air conditioning runs throughout, the room smelled nice when I arrived, and everyone I met spoke English very well. It felt more like a four- or five-star hotel to me. There are no windows, but that didn’t bother me or affect my rating. I’m particular about cleanliness, and I saw no mold, despite an earlier review mentioning mold and a bad smell. There’s no elevator, so the lobbyboy helped with my luggage. I think that helps keep room costs affordable. Check-in is at 2 PM, but they let me in around 12:30, which was a relief after the long road trip from Pattaya to Bangkok. I’ve saved the hotel for my next Bangkok visit. People leaving bad ratings should be a little more humble and stop whining, in my opinion. You get what you pay for 😂

The good parts are the location and the nice staff and cleaners. My two rooms were small, had no windows, and still let in street noise. One smelled like mold and the other like urine, though I couldn’t tell for sure what the odors were. The pillows were awful and left my neck so stiff I can barely turn it now. The pool wasn’t worth using, just tiny and facing the parking lot. Even getting the Wi-Fi to work seemed too much to ask. I wasn’t happy with this hotel.
