Sudyod Hotel

I loved staying here on my honeymoon with my wife. The location is awesome, close to malls and great street food nearby. I love Thailand.

Sudyod Apartments is an inexpensive, accommodating place to stay in the Pinklao area. The beds are spacious and comfortable, and the rooms are clean enough. The AC and shower hot water both worked well. You can have the room made up by leaving your key at the front desk. There are washing machines, though you pay for the machine and detergent, which are cheap. No dryers are provided, so clothes have to air dry. If there’s no space on the outdoor rack by the washers, you’ll need to dry them in your room using the two or three coat hangers provided. The location is decent, though not great. Bang Ye Khan MRT is a 15-minute walk or a 3-minute drive away, and there are places to eat and some malls nearby. There aren’t many interesting places in the immediate area.

For a low-cost, no-frills stay near Khaosan, Sudyod is a dependable option. Clean rooms, AC, free water, and helpful staff make it a good fit for solo travelers or couples watching their budget. If you want polished interiors and upkeep that’s more consistent, you may prefer a higher-end budget hotel.

We had a disappointing arrival. The receptionist said there were no rooms with a double bed, so we were put in a twin instead. The room wasn’t great either: the table was dirty, there was no toilet paper or any paper at all, and a connecting door to the next room left us with very little privacy. The elevator was old, and the receptionist wasn’t helpful. A very disappointing stay. The photos aren’t real!
