I’ve stayed in budget hostels across Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Laos, and this was the worst one for me. I booked a week, but one of the two staff members, a curly-haired cleaner, was rude and unhelpful. She started shouting at me for no reason and seemed to want an argument. Whenever she passed me, she would babble on. I don’t know why the hostel hired her. I complained to the owner, a Sikh man, but he was indifferent and did nothing. The Wi-Fi kept going out, and the toilet flooded whenever other guests showered. I’d paid a week in advance, but these problems made me leave one night early. Easily my worst experience so far.

For a few budget nights, it’s decent enough. There are a few cafes and restaurants nearby, and it’s fairly close to the MRT. It’s easy to find if you can read a map. The common room feels dull, and it’s a long way from Khaosan if you’re a real party backpacker. My sheets hadn’t been changed when I was shown the room, but the staff were very kind and friendly about sorting it out. Apparently a renovation is coming soon, and the place badly needs one.

I booked because it was cheap, but I should’ve paid a little more to be treated like a person somewhere else. Nobody even greeted us when we arrived. A staff member just handed over the door code and walked away. When I said I needed to check out, the guy at the desk said, "So?" and told us to leave. Everything was broken, and the bed springs dug into us all night.

A quiet, safe place that works for either a short visit or a longer stay. The price is low, so you can save some money for nearby activities. The staff are amazing, and you can walk in anytime. Perfect place to stay!

A relaxed hostel with good facilities and Wi-Fi, nice for a quiet place to sleep. It’s a long way from kao San road, so it’s not for the party crowd.
