Tarawish Hotel

We had a very pleasant stay, and the staff deserve another mention. They understood our requests clearly, moved us when the AC stopped working, and made extending our stay easy. Their support went a long way toward balancing out a room rate that first seemed high for a 3-star place. The bathroom was clean and had enough toiletries. The hotel isn't especially fancy, and the wardrobe is a little odd: its mirror is on the door, so the door can't be closed. Soundproofing is poor, with noise from other floors quite audible, though it didn't disturb our sleep. Phaya Thai BTS is under a 10-minute walk via the alley. Taxis may take a while to reach the hotel, and Bangkok traffic is rough. One tip, Bolt motorbike rides are faster and cheaper. There are some shops around, a well-stocked 711 very close by, and foot massage places nearby. We found one for 200baht/hr. 100/10 for the staff!

I found the location convenient, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and convenience stores in walking distance, and it's very close to the airport link. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and there's a shuttle for nearby places. The room was clean and pleasant, but the shower pressure was too low. The toilet paper was very thin, and the rolls were too small to last two people a day. The biggest problem for me was the noise. You can hear sounds from outside and adjoining rooms, and hallway guests can be loud at 2 or 3 in the morning. I'm a light sleeper, and loud noises woke me several times every night. It's not a quiet area, even though it's handy.

The staff were super accommodating, and the rooms are spacious and really nice. There's a shortcut behind the hotel to Phaya Thai station. Pratunam market is also within walking distance, in my opinion, but the area doesn't feel busy or crowded. Great place to stay.

The breakfast buffet was a highlight, honestly one of the best I've had in Bangkok. There were lots of choices and everything tasted great. Room cleaning was top notch every day, and the hotel felt very clean and new. The staff were friendly and helpful, though they were always busy so we didn't get to chat much. The main shopping areas are a bit far, but there's a buggy service to nearby spots when available. Otherwise it's about a 10-minute walk, which wasn't too inconvenient. A 7-Eleven right across the street was handy. I had a very pleasant stay at Tarawish Hotel in Bangkok and would happily come back.
