The office put me in a ground-floor family room because other rooms were being renovated. It had been converted from a shop, with windows on three sides and practically no soundproofing. The Myanmar woman at the front desk spoke loudly on the phone for hours, and people were eating and chatting in the office at 1 am. I wouldn’t recommend that room to anyone bothered by noise.

The surroundings felt calm and safe, and it’s near the government complex. The owner was friendly and spoke English, so it seemed suitable for Thai and other guests.

I moved into the dorm when it was brand new and was the first person living there. The owner was kind. My room had a Japanese-style layout, with the bathroom and toilet in separate rooms. There was an elevator and balcony, and parking inside the building cost money while parking outside was free. The glass door felt a little shaky when friends visited. More of a problem, though, was the lack of soundproofing. I could hear everything, and loud door slams woke me up. Then the couple next door started arguing and crying every day. I felt so sad for them.
