Volve Hotel Bangkok

Volve Hotel sits in the Japanese area rather than around Siam, with plenty of Japanese restaurants nearby and a great mango sticky rice shop about a 5-10 minute walk away. Definitely worth trying. The rooms feel warm and cozy, and the design seems practical for everyday use. We also had a really impressive stay for our first Mr & Mrs Smith hotel. The service was especially thoughtful: while we were having dessert in the lobby, staff brought us water without being asked. Thai hospitality is often good to excellent, and the team here was so considerate that even Japanese service might not match it.

After checkout, the hotel let me use a shower room before my flight, which was a really thoughtful gesture. The minibar snacks were also complimentary and carefully chosen. The staff were attentive and helpful during my stay, and housekeeping kept my room neat. Thong Lo BTS is close by, with plenty of cafes and places to eat in the neighborhood. A very pleasant stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone staying around here.

Breakfast was a highlight, with a nice choice of sweet and savory dishes, a small buffet, and extras at no added cost. We had French toast with fruit plus scrambled eggs and bacon, as well as smoked salmon eggs benedict. It was served from 7:00 to 10:30 a.m. Our room was clean, nicely designed, and perfectly adequate for three days. It had a kettle, lots of snacks, tea and coffee, a hairdryer, and a great shower with strong water pressure. The hotel itself is beautiful and modern, and the staff were friendly, polite, and always ready to help. At check-in we got a complimentary drink and useful tips on nearby attractions, restaurants, shopping, and how to get there on foot or by public transport. Getting around from the hotel was quick. We had a great stay and would recommend it.

The street where Volve is located is quiet, but the hotel is very convenient, just a five-minute walk from Thong Lor BTS. There are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby, and ride-hailing made it easy to get a cab. I had a corner room that was clean, cozy, and comfortable, with the amenities needed for a good stay: toiletries, slippers, a safe, fridge, enough power points, and good wifi. The minibar snacks were free, and I especially liked the tasty local Thai snacks, which aren't commonly found in shops. A really nice touch. The care in the design comes through as soon as you walk in, and everything feels thought through for guests. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in and checkout were smooth. Great stay at Volve, highly recommended!
