Check-in was chaotic and unprofessional. The host didn’t respond, didn’t speak English, and sent instructions only after I arrived. Massage parlor staff downstairs handled check-in and seemed clueless. I had booked Room 203, but someone was already staying there. They pushed me toward the smaller, darker Room 202 at a cheaper rate. After about an hour of arguing, they moved the other guest out. The room matched the photos, but the listing was misleading and the place felt unfinished. There was constant music and customer noise from the massage parlor below, construction all day in Room 201 across the hall, and random workers throughout the property. There was no kitchen setup at all, no utensils, microwave, kettle, or washing machine, and none of the promised amenities. It’s 2km from the main road, and Grab waits are long if you don’t have your own transport. Avoid.

I found pubic hair in the bed. They hadn’t changed the sheets after the last guests, and the bedding felt like it hadn’t been changed in months. Disgusting.

The room was dirty and smelled, and the photos gave a misleading impression. There wasn’t a kitchen, and getting in was confusing because no entry instructions were provided. I booked the cottage, but it was wildly overpriced for what it offered, especially given the poor rooms. The neighborhood felt terrible, with no tourists around. The person who greeted me seemed drunk and couldn’t speak English, and the whole team had the same language problem. They were also very good at gaslighting if you dared to speak up. You can find a much better place for less than half the price. Be smart.

I had a foot massage at Coolplay house. The therapist did a great job, and the pressure was strong without being painful. They also have rooms for rent.
