Phuket Jula Place

For one night it was okay, though I wouldn’t want to stay longer. The room was clean, but could use some plaster and paint, and the shower curtain needs a regular clean to get rid of mould. I was on the third floor, and there’s no elevator. The main road is really loud.

Jula place feels like coming home. I’ve returned for years when visiting Phuket for work or to see friends, and the rooms are always clean, tidy, and well kept. The price for what you get is very good. The location is ideal, close to the main roads for getting where you need to go. The family hotel is run by a super friendly manager, and the staff are wonderful. They know what they’re doing and go out of their way to help make your visit a good one. Rooms feel spacious and bright thanks to the big balcony, wall-wide windows, and light colors. There are good blackout curtains too, handy if you lose track of time in the nearby bat street and want to sleep in. You get A/C, a safe, TV, fridge, kettle, and microwave, plus plates, cups, cutlery, coffee, and tea. Snacks are priced very reasonably. I can’t recommend the place enough, and I’ll absolutely go again 😃

For the price, it was a good residence. I spent a month there in February 2022, in a room at the very top of the building. Depending on the floor, you may hear more noise from the main street. My room had a balcony and a big clothes hanger. Inside there was a little kitchen area with a microwave, water heater, kitchen equipment, sink, and fridge with a separate freezer compartment. The room also had a shower and toilet. It was clean overall, though sometimes the floor hadn’t been cleaned properly and there were hairs left behind.

I stayed three weeks, and it really felt like home, especially for a longer visit. The staff were professional, kind, and helpful. You can tell they’re always looking after the property, cleaning and painting. The rooms are very clean and have a handy little kitchen. The Phuket location is strategic, close to everything you need.
