Baan Ing Ping

There’s no breakfast, but Rimping supermarket is only 50 m away. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and some look out over the garden and Ping river. It stays quiet during the day and at night, although nearby venues play music until 11pm every evening.

I nearly missed my flight after reception failed to arrange the taxi I’d asked about two days ahead. My plane was on January 1 at 6:30 AM, and I needed a car at 3:30 AM. They made it sound like there’d be no problem, but when I came down at 3:30, the man at reception told me to call a Grab. At that hour on January 1, there were no Grabs or Bolts. That’s exactly why I’d asked for help arranging a taxi in advance. He didn’t know any taxi service phone numbers, so I waited 30 minutes for a car, almost missed my plane, and paid twice as much. Thanks for the garbage service. They should at least have told me they couldn’t get a taxi so I could arrange one myself!

By chance, I landed here after having to leave a really bad hotel halfway through my stay. It was around Chinese New Year and everywhere was fully booked, but the service here was excellent. The beds were large and just the right balance of firm and soft. There’s a little courtyard by the river where you can enjoy the breeze and have a beer at night, so relaxing. You can walk to everything, and it’s quieter than the old town. Highly recommended!

You can enjoy the view from this peaceful, clean place by the Ping river. The garden is nice, and the surroundings are well maintained.
