Furama Chiang Mai Hotel

I really appreciated how promptly the Furama Chiang Mai Hotel staff found my lost item, even though it had been two weeks since my stay. When you’re travelling, it’s easy not to realize you’ve misplaced something until later. Their thoughtful updates and quick response showed real care and professionalism. Impressive service, and very kind handling of Lost & Found. Five stars from me.

The internet was very unstable and felt outdated, which became difficult over our four-week stay. I also think the reception team could use more training with long-term guests. A warm greeting and friendly goodbye should be the minimum. On the plus side, the location is excellent, right beside Maya and Nimman One, so food, shopping and transport were easy. The hotel is older but clearly maintained, and the spacious, beautifully furnished lobby was welcoming each time we came back. The Christmas decorations were wonderful. Special thanks to Mrs Jeab and Mr. Birth from housekeeping, who were consistently friendly and made the stay feel warm and personal.

The room was spacious, and it was convenient to be about a block from the shops and restaurants. But the hotel felt quite outdated. The bed was extremely hard, and I could feel springs poking into our backs. The balcony had no privacy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The pool was okay, while the rooftop had no bar, just two sun loungers, and was clearly under renovation. Breakfast was just okay too. For the same price, you can get a much nicer breakfast at a restaurant.

It’s within walking distance of shopping and restaurants, though inside a soi, and the price was excellent. The room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was excellent too. The bathroom and TV were old, there was no Netflix, and the wall sockets were poor for charging. The balcony was dirty and the WiFi slow.
