Don at reception went far beyond what we expected. On our first day in Thailand, we hired a driver to take us to the mall. He didn’t speak English, and by mistake we paid him $100 instead of 100 Baht. Don spent about two hours on the phone with him. The driver clearly didn’t intend to return the money, but Don persuaded him to come back to the hotel and refund the difference. Don saved our day and our money. Thank you so much, Don! The hotel is small and charming, right in the heart of Chiang Mai’s Old City and very close to the Chabad House. Rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. It’s a good base for Old City sights and the services of the Chabad House. Reception staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and ready to help even with things outside the hotel. They can also arrange local activities and tours.

Vivi was a wonderful host, and it was handy being able to book experiences like elephant activities and cooking right at the property. The rooms had lots of natural light and were really nice. This was one of the best affordable places we stayed during our Thailand trip.

We booked a room eight months ahead and reconfirmed with the hotel a couple of days before check-in. Then, the night before we were due to arrive, an email came saying our reservation had been cancelled. You can’t count on this hotel to honor a booking, no matter how far ahead you make it. This was disgusting and disgraceful behavior. They clearly don’t care about customer service and only care about money. It seems likely they gave our room to someone who walked in and paid more.

BeeBee was the best part of our stay at Le Bis Hotel. She helped us with everything we asked and always found a solution. She arranged tickets for the Loi Kratong festival for us and even for friends who weren’t staying at the hotel, and she got us discounts too. The hotel is a nice little place just outside the inner city, with a very good, budget-friendly price. The rooms are small, clean, and comfortable. We had a great time in Chiang Mai and would happily stay here again. Thank you, BeeBee!

A clean bed and good service made my day. The hotel is right in the city, very close to the Night Bazaar and Tha Phae Gate, so it’s easy to get around Chiang Mai.
