Luck Thai Hotel

Luck Thai Hotel, Chiang Mai I stayed five nights, from 24-29 Dec 2025. The area is calm and a little away from the busier parts of Nimman, which suited me. It doesn’t feel isolated, since the main street and a 7-Eleven are only a short walk away. Being slightly farther out also helped us avoid the evening traffic jams. I slept really well throughout the stay. The bed and pillows were among the most comfortable I’ve had at any leisure hotel. Staff were consistently courteous and spoke good English, so check-in and other interactions went smoothly. The air conditioning worked very well too. It’s a comfortable, well-placed hotel with a peaceful feel, and I’d consider staying again.

The female receptionist was friendly, patient, resourceful, and spoke good English. The place was clean and in a good location, with a little dipping pool. The room was pretty dim if you need to work, so the lighting could be better. It’s a 12-minute walk outside the gate, and the night market is 15 minutes away on foot. Walk 15 minutes in the other direction and you’ll reach Waroros indoor market, where you can also see my review.

It’s a basic hotel that worked fine for the few days we were there, and it’s well located for getting around on foot. At checkout, they charged extra laundry costs for a towel and pillow case. It felt like an attempt to get more money from tourists. They first asked for a higher amount, then reduced it after looking at the items. Watch out for the same thing if you stay here.

I had an incredible stay here last month. The rooms were gorgeous, and the location put us right in the action while still being quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. The staff were extremely attentive, especially the receptionists. Sorry I’ve forgotten your names.
